Cadillac Celestiq<\/h2>\n
The car world was puzzled when Cadillac recently announced its $300,000 super-luxury sedan. Once, the “Standard of the World,” they haven’t had much luck in recent years or even decades. But the Celestiq is hopefully here to change all that. Not only is it a stunner, but it’s also already sold out, even at its exorbitant price (via Cadillac<\/a>).<\/p>\n That’s right. Although the Celestiq is a 2024 model and future vehicle, GM has already sold two years of production of these hand-built electric cars. With over 600 HP provided by a big battery pack and four electric motors, it will compete with future electric Bentley and Rolls Royce models. Drivers can expect a sublime interior, excellent performance, and a return to American luxury in a big way with this. There’s no doubt it’s one of the most anticipated cars coming soon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ford beat Chevrolet to the punch in the electric truck war with the introduction of the successful Lightning electric truck. However, GM will fight back with the Hummer EV and the upcoming Silverado EV. This electric vehicle will arrive later this year as one of numerous future EV premieres by GM. Built on the Hummer platform, it will have similar characteristics but will be somewhat more affordable and produced in higher numbers (via Chevrolet<\/a>).<\/p>\n We can expect a range of 400 miles on a single<\/a> charge, which is very good, and an overall power figure of up to 662 HP. However, since the Silverado EV is going to be a work truck, we also can expect numerous interesting and advanced features designed to make it more practical and usable.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jeep has embraced the EV future with the Wrangler 4xe, but we can safely say that it is moving towards all-electric cars with its lineup set to be released in a few years. The first of which is Jeep Recon, which will debut in 2024. Interestingly, Jeep decided to engineer Recon as a fully capable off-road electric warrior instead of making it a regular SUV (via Gear Patrol<\/a>).<\/p>\n The Recon will feature a high-ground clearance true 4×4 drive train thanks to four electric motors, removable doors, and a roof. It would be similar to the Wrangler with all-electric power and a different design. However, substantial information about power, battery pack, performance, or price still needs to be published and will be released soon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n For decades, Lotus was known for small, lightweight, and nimble sports coupes. But in 2024, it will change its direction completely as the Eletre, an all-electric performance SUV, will debut. Based on an all-new architecture, the Eletre will be produced in China and sold worldwide (via Lotus<\/a>).<\/p>\n Under the seductive design, there is a very advanced drivetrain that consists of two power levels – 600 and 900 HP, courtesy of an 800-volt battery pack. We expect the performance to be astonishing and we congratulate Lotus on a brave step into the electric future.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Tesla’s Cybertruck is probably the most controversial<\/a> EV truck. First, because of its unusual, futuristic, and Blade Runner-esque design which is not to everyone’s taste. And second, because of its problematic development and uncertain release date. However, let’s see what Cybertruck has to offer once it finally appears in production form. At the moment, Tesla plans to produce four versions of this truck. The base model will have a single electric motor and rear-wheel drive. The top-spec version will have four electric motors and all-wheel drive (via Tesla<\/a>).<\/p>\n There still needs to be definitive information about the size of the battery pack or output of the engines<\/a>. But the company made some pretty lofty claims in terms of performance and range. The entry-level, rear-wheel-drive model has a range of 250 miles. While the top-spec, quad motor, all-wheel-drive version has a lengthy estimated range of 620 miles.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n For years, we heard rumors of G-Class electric cars. It made sense since the G-Wagon is a massive and expensive vehicle that could benefit from electrification. Mercedes thinks that as well, so it’s almost done on the EQG, an all-electric, super SUV with off-road technology and a new powertrain (via Mercedes<\/a>).<\/p>\n We don’t know much about its battery pack, performance, or technical details. However, we know that it will look almost identical to ICE-powered versions and will have a high price tag.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Even though the ID Buzz has just been released for selected markets, US buyers will have to wait a bit longer to purchase this masterpiece of retro-futurism. As a part of the big EV push by Volkswagen and numerous new electric cars released in a short period. The ID Buzz has a special place because it represents a fresh take on the minivan concept and retro styling (via Car and Driver<\/a>).<\/p>\n The ID Buzz comes in a six or eight-passenger form, with an 82-kWh battery pack and two power levels – 201(RWD) and 335 HP (AWD). Despite the considerable power, Volkswagen engineered this model not for performance<\/a>, but for practicality. They hope to turn buyers away from SUVs to good old vans which are more practical and spacious.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the 20th century, the Electra was a luxury sedan in production from 1959 to 1990. In the 21st century, however, it will be a luxury SUV powered by electricity. Honestly, it would be a shame for GM to waste such a great model name. So, in 2024, we can expect a brand-new Electra built on modern GM architecture with unique design features and trim (via Inside EVs<\/a>).<\/p>\n This model will be available in China, where Buick enjoys considerable success. Also, it will have a range of 300 miles and overall power output of 340 HP. Interestingly, that’s not far off from the specifications of Electras from the ’60s.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Chrysler desperately needs a hit. The company decided to go all-electric by 2028 and introduce a sleek EV SUV by 2025. Called Airflow, it is another excellent example of reviving the classic<\/a> names from the glorious past. The original Airflow was an art deco masterpiece that helped Chrysler become a big company in the 1930s (via Chrysler<\/a>).<\/p>\n Today’s model will feature Level 3 autonomous driving capability, a host of advanced technology and features, and promised 400 miles of range. It should be a competitor for luxury electric SUVs from Mercedes and BMW<\/a> and attract buyers who want something different and elegant.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Although the Dodge is busy introducing yet another Hemi muscle car, their sights are on an all-electric future. And the next generation of muscle cars is embodied with the Charger SRT EV, which will arrive in the next couple of years. Dodge knows that muscle cars as a product will always stay in style, but needs to find a way to make them interesting for future fans (via Car and Driver<\/a>).<\/p>\n We don’t know much about the performance, but Dodge claims it will be quicker than the Hellcat. Also, it will feature an 800-volt battery and one very cool new feature – speakers that will emit loud engine sounds. Because what is a muscle car without the roaring sound of an engine, even if it is digital?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It appears the third time is a charm for GM when it comes to reviving the Blazer. The original boxy 4×4 SUV was a legend of its time. But the 2019-2023 Blazer, despite being a good car, didn’t catch the imagination of the car-buying public the way Chevrolet hoped. However, for the 2024 model year, GM is bringing the Blazer back as an all-electric modern SUV that should compete with Ford’s Mach-E (via Chevrolet<\/a>).<\/p>\n It will be available along the gasoline-powered version. The Blazer EV will get the SS trim with 557 HP and performance worthy of the Camaro ZL1. Less powerful versions are also in the works. Chevrolet announced that the Blazer EV would have a range of 320 miles.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fiat already sells the 500e in Europe, but this adorable city car will have its US debut<\/a> in 2024. Most electric cars compete in performance, battery size, and power, but the 500e is going in a different direction. It has diminutive spec but more than enough for its planned use (via Fiat<\/a>).<\/p>\n The 500e has a single electric motor delivering 116 HP to the front wheels and a small battery pack that will allow around 160 miles of range in the city. It’s not up to par with bigger and more expensive electric cars, but it will be enough for the city commute, especially if we know that the price will be low and charging times short. The 500e is not the fastest EV out there, but for some buyers it might be enough.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ford and Chevrolet are paving the way with their electric trucks and the Ram will join the party in 2024. The Ram 1500 REV is the electric version of a popular Ram full-size truck<\/a> that features a different design, innovative technology, and a powerful drive train. Also, a new chassis architecture was engineered for future electric vehicles (via Gear Patrol<\/a>).<\/p>\n It will be available at a higher price than the gasoline-powered version. The technical details, versions, and exact drivetrain specifications are unknown. However, since the release will be later this year, we know that Ram will reveal everything in a timely manner.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Rolls Royce is going all-electric by 2030, and this is a history-making decision for this brand. Mighty electric motors, smooth acceleration, and quietness perfectly suit the philosophy of this company. The first model to go in this direction is the Spectre. An all-new coupe with exclusive styling, two electric motors, and a massive price tag (via Rolls Royce<\/a>).<\/p>\n We’re days away from the presentation of this model, and so far, the only thing that’s certain is the fact that Spectre has a 577 HP output massive battery pack that provides 260 miles of range. The deliveries will be later this year, and this is definitely a new chapter in the luxury car segment.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The first Tesla Roadster was revolutionary but could have been a better electric vehicle. However, the next one, due for release soon, should be astonishing in every aspect. Elon Musk promises 1.9 seconds 0 to 60 mph times, a top speed of over 250 mph, and a 600-mile range. Those are incredible numbers that are still in the realm of sci-fi, but Tesla is planning to equip the Roadster with a giant 200 kWh battery pack, which should make Elon’s promises a reality (via Tesla<\/a>).<\/p>\n What’s interesting is the rumored price which should be somewhere around $200,000. Even though that is still a lot of money, it’s cheap compared to other electric cars with similar performance and appeal.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We’re not exactly sure in which direction GM will take the Corvette brand. However, it looks like they are getting ready to introduce a whole Corvette<\/a> lineup of models. Most of them are hybrid or fully electric (via Car and Driver<\/a>).<\/p>\n The success and insane performance<\/a> of the Corvette C8 E-Ray Hybrid showed the way. Rumors are that the Corvette sedan and high-performance SUV are in the works, both being battery-powered. GM is aiming at Tesla and other premium brands, which should be very interesting.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Henrik Fisker is one of the most famous names in contemporary car design<\/a>. After failed but gorgeous Fisker Karma, one of the first luxury hybrid cars, Henrik turned to design a future, all-electric product and re-establishing his company. The first result is almost upon us and is called the Fisker Ocean (via Fisker<\/a>).<\/p>\n The Ocean is a cool-looking, all-electric SUV that should be available in mid-2023. It has a 300-mile of range, a solar roof panel, and a whole lot of exciting features and gimmicks. The best part is the price, and an entry-level Ocean should cost just $39,900. That is good news in a world of overpriced cars and extremely expensive electric cars.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We all know that Ford is very active in the EV field and that this company has a successful European operation. It looks like Ford is moving to take over Europe’s compact electric SUV market with the Explorer. It uses a platform by Volkswagen (Ford’s electrification partner), and it has a distinctive design but smaller dimensions than a US-spec Explorer (via Ford<\/a>).<\/p>\n If you live in Europe, you can expect that this model will have a 77 kWh battery pack and two power levels – 200 and 300 HP. The range is around 200 miles and the European Explorer will have Ford technology and features.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kia and Hyundai are two companies that embraced the EV movement relatively early. This approach paid dividends, and Kia is now one of the most exciting car companies in the field of affordable<\/a> EVs. For the 2024 model year, they are planning to move to the full-size electric SUV market with Kia EV9 (via Kia<\/a>).<\/p>\n The EV9 is a massive, all-electric SUV with room for seven passengers. The specifications have yet to be available, but we can expect over 300 hP and 300 miles of range. That will make EV9 competitive in the market.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n With its sights set on Tesla Model S and Lucid Air, the Polestar 5 is the flagship sedan. Its mission is to be elegant, smooth, beautiful, and luxurious. So far, all we have are promotional photos and the Polestar 5 is just one of the models from this brand that are ready for production in the next few years (via Polestar<\/a>).<\/p>\n For the 5, we don’t have any relevant information, but if it wants to compete with the best in the segment, it will need a massive battery pack, over 600 HP, and at least 350 miles of range.
