Two cats were killed in a fire at a Los Angeles pet shop, but a dozen other animals were saved, according to officials.<\/p>\n
According to Los Angeles Incident Department spokesman Brian Humphrey, the fire broke out Wednesday evening in East Hollywood at an unidentified sort of pet shop.<\/p>\n
Firefighters searched the facility while battling the blaze, which had filled it with smoke and forced the removal of 14 animals.<\/p>\n
After being provided oxygen, nine dogs and three cats survived and were handed over to the city’s Department of Animal Services.<\/p>\n
Two cats were unable to be saved and perished at the scene, according to Humphrey.<\/p>\n
